April 3, 2006 As of April 3, 2006, following the Decision of the President of the ATHEX BoD, the trading of the shares of the NATIONAL BANK OF GREECE S.A. is temporary suspended taking into consideration the developments regarding the intended acquisition of Finansbank from National Bank of Greece S.A. (NBG) and aiming at protecting investors' interests.
